This project involves retrofitting communication base stations with on-site photovoltaic energy storage systems, transforming traditional base stations into smart stations powered by renewable energy. Our goal is to reduce operational costs, enhance energy security, improve system stability, and contribute to environmental protection through this retrofit.
Project Introduction
With an installed capacity of 302.5 kWp, the company has seen a reduction in electricity costs since the photovoltaic system began operation. Additionally, excess electricity can be sold back to the grid, achieving a win-win outcome in terms of both economic and environmental benefits.
Site Selection Considerations
The rooftop was chosen as the location for the photovoltaic power generation project primarily because:
The rooftop has a large area, no obstructions, and ample sunlight.
It utilises existing buildings, eliminating the need for additional land acquisition.
Power is generated for self-use, reducing electricity costs.
Main equipment
The photovoltaic system includes:
Photovoltaic panels: Convert solar energy into electricity.
Inverters: Convert direct current into alternating current.
Energy storage system: Store excess electricity.
